Clean It
The first thing to do is give Fluffy’s cat’s tower a good cleaning. Vacuum it thoroughly, using an attachment. You can use a squeegee, damp cloth, or rubber dish glove to remove cat fur. If the tower is really dirty, use a hand-held spot shampooer to clean it.
Recover It
Reupholstering a cat tower is actually pretty easy. Get some carpet scraps, and use a staple gun to attach them. You can also just cover the whole thing in sisal rope.
Turn It
Sometimes cats get used to things being in the background, and sort of forget them. Turn the cat tower so that a different side is facing out. This will give Fluffy a new place to explore.
Move It
Cats are very curious, and more than a bit nosy. Sometimes just putting something in a new spot can draw your kitty’s attention to it. Try moving the cat tower to a different location. If possible, put it in front of a window with a good view. Chances are, even if you just move it a little bit, Fluffy will have to investigate!
Add Catnip
Sprinkle your kitty’s tower with some fresh catnip. Then, sit back and watch as your furry pal gets frisky and playful, and falls in love with her tower all over again.
Hang Toys From It
Hanging a few toys from your kitty’s tower may also help attract her to it once more. Cats just can’t resist batting at dangling objects! Just be sure not to use things that could potentially choke or entangle your feline buddy.
